| Born in Germany, Husam El Odeh studied fine art at Berlin’s Hochschule der Kuenste. In 1999 he moved to London where, frustrated with the medium through which he was expressing himself, he swapped the canvas for jewellery. Husam's work is inspired by his belief that all human experience is manifested entirely by physical experience. He plays with opposites, strives for a balance between the tactile and visual and confuses expectations, introducing an element of surprise. Recent collaborations include Marios Schwab and Ann-Sophie Back. |
