Kaleidoscope colour

Spring/Summer sees the arrival of colour at b Store. Peter Jensen, Bernhard Willhelm and Hartman Norndenholtz have all incorporated eye-catching brights or candy colours into their collections. Highlights include animal prints and naïve, childlike illustrations from Peter Jensen’s exciting collaboration with Julie Verhoeven plus Bernhard Willhelm’s delightful dip-dyed cotton dresses and skirts.

New for SS/09 is the b Clothing collection for women. We’ve introduced the b Clothing aesthetic into Peter Pan collar shirts, pleated peg trousers, mannish jackets and neatly tailored shorts and shirt dresses. Complimenting the new womenswear addition, is the menswear collection – which this season reveals picnic checked shirts, over dyed jackets, tapered denim and neatly pressed turn-up shorts, inspired by a quintessential English summer – think picnics by the river at Henley-on-Thames.
Introducing Peter Perret
New kid on the block is the fresh-from-graduation menswear designer Peter Perret. His fresh approach to menswear results in a collection of traditional tailoring reinvented with a sportswear influence; long length classic shirts with a drawstring hem, classic crombie coats constructed in sports nylons and Harrington jackets with detachable oversized hoods are particular highlights.
Hope premiers at b Store
Also premiering at b Store this season is Swedish womenswear label Hope. Bringing its own take on the androgynous look b Store have been favouring for the past few seasons, the Hope collection features ‘slightly too big’ blazers, high waist chinos in a subtle ‘80s light wash denim and oversized cotton trench coats.
Also coming soon
Look out for 2nd collections from Bouboutic – whose knitwear shorts and cropped hooded swing jackets are collection highlights; and Sophie Hulme – who has recently created the only shorts-sequin one-piece to be seen this season!
And there’s much more to come, we’ll keep you posted.
